Christmas Carols on Bournville Green on Christmas Eve at 6pm
November 16th, 2011One of Bournville’s most-loved annual events will take place on Christmas Eve with Christmas Carols on the Green. The gathering has taken place since 1949 and this year starts at 6pm with Christmas carols and readings with the sound of Bournville Carillon for accompaniment. Tradition has it that you bring along a lantern. The event is organised by Churches Together B30 representing a range of churches around our area. Anyone who attends who is not from the UK is invited to wish Bournville residents a Merry Christmas in thier own language. Don’t forget to wrap up warm, this year the weather forecast suggests it may well be a very cold night.

Thank you for making the Festival a fun, family event
June 30th, 2011Thank you to everyone who came and supported the Festival. It was a great atmosphere and lots of fun was had by everyone. Everyone enjoyed the Arena Acts, side stalls, craft market, fun fair and the ever delightful Maypole. Didn’t the local kids do well. We even got coverage in the Birmingham Evening Mail.
Photos have been uploaded onto our Flickr account for you to have a look at, Enjoy.
There are lots of people who helped ensure the day went smoothly from the Village Council to the Village Trust, from scouts to sea scouts and from the Lions to the Bowls Club.
