From about May 2012 Bristol Road buses will now longer go into the city Centre.

Before that there may be some movement of stops near Argos. Between May 2012 and June 2012 the road tunnel between New Street Station and Moor Street station will be closed – so you will have to go up and down the slopes and steps to get between the two on foot and the 61 and 63 will turn at TKMaxx – the same as the 143 and 144. When the tunnel reopens the TWM Bristol Road buses will again stop by New Street Station before going through the tunnel to turn round near Moor Street Station before retracing their route out of the City. From June 2012 the X62 and X64 will no longer serve the Town Hall, instead they will turn along Smallbrook Ringway and serve the same stops as the 61 and 63. detailed changes here.

Birmingham City University wants to close the Bournville School of Art and to relocate the arts and design courses. Instead the building will be used to run courses for international students preparing for other university courses within their university program. The two buildings affected would be Ruskin Hall on Linden Road which has always been the original School of Arts and the Maple Road building which at one time was used to educate Cadbury employees. These colleges were built by George Cadbury who was passionately committed to the education of his workforce and the residents of Bournville. The local councillors have a bournville art school questionnaire for you to complete.
