The 2017 Bournville Village Festival, and how to apply for a stall
This year’s Bournville Village Festival will take place on Saturday 24th June 2017 at the Cadbury Recreation Ground, Linden Road, Bournville and you are invited to apply.
The Festival has many attractions including the Craft Market (selling jewellery, paintings, crafts and cakes) , Arena events (Marching Bands and Dance Troupes), Side Stalls, a Flower and Craft Show (exhibiting for all age groups), a traditional Maypole Dance presented by local School Children finishing off the event with a Grand Firework display. The Festival opens to the Public between 1.30 p.m. and 11 p.m. For more information please go to www.bournvillevillagecouncil.org.uk.
The Outside Stalls Around the Ground
Stalls are situated around the grounds and include local charities, volunteer groups and some local companies (commercial stalls).
Stall holders provide their own table, chairs and other equipment.
Stalls start from £40.00 for charities for a four metre space. Prices for commercial stalls available on application.
If you require more than four metres then please add £10.00 per additional “metre” required.
Refreshments are not provided but food and drinks can be purchased on the Show Ground.
The Craft Market
The Craft Market will be held in a large Marquee from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. hosting a wide selection of hand crafted and traditional goods. This year we anticipate supporting thirty stalls inside and twelve tables outside the market. The price for inside and outside the Craft Market Marquee is still being finalised. However, the price will include one table measuring 6 foot x 2 foot approx. If you require more than one table please indicate on the Application form and adjust your pricing accordingly. Refreshments are not provided but food and drinks can be purchased on the Show Ground.
We ask stall holders to set up between 9 a.m. and 12.30 p.m. Vehicles then must be off the site by 12.30 p.m. Limited, restrictive parking is available for those who need it such as those with disabled passes. No cars remain on the ground without prior permission given at least 48 hours in advance and are only given in exceptional circumstances. No vehicles or vehicle movements will be allowed on the ground until after the public have left the ground. Please make sure you have adequate support for setting up as we cannot guarantee help will be available on the day. We ask that you do not encroach on other stall holder’s spaces and that you make necessary arrangements for looking after your goods throughout the duration of the Festival.
Terms and Conditions
Bournville Village Council have put together a set of Terms and Conditions (included in each download pack) which all stall holders are required to agree to before their application can be accepted. If you are selling home produced packaged food we require a copy of your latest EHQ Inspection Certificates.
All stall holders must provide a copy of their Public Liability Insurance Certificate. If this causes a difficulty for you do get in touch and we can discuss. If you wish to take out Public Liability insurance for the event any reputable insurance company would be able to quote.
The Application Form
If you would like to book a table/stall then please click the appropriate button to automatically download the correct application form pack. Each form pack is in a ZIP format and contains three documents. Two documents are for information and the third document, the Application Form, requires completing and returning as soon as possible, to the above address. The Application Form can be completed using your computer and then emailed back to us. Alternatively it can be printed off, filled in by hand and posted back to us.
Please provide full details of the products you wish to bring. If you bring items that are not shown on your form you may be asked to remove them from display. Any specific requirements you may wish us to consider should be indicated on the Application Form.
We will do our best to meet all requests.
If you have a website for your organisation and wish for it to be displayed on the Bournville Village Festival website for 2017 which outlines information for visitors please let us know.
For charities exhibiting we ask that, following the Festival, Bournville Village Council be advised the amount you raised on the day. This will allow us to communicate about the success of the festival including local contributions to charity. This may be displayed on our website or any other interested party.
You may like to consider entering the Flower and Craft show which has over 100 categories (from roses and hanging baskets to decorating cakes and miniature gardens) for all ages and abilities. Please visit the Bournville Village Council website for an entry form and further information. You never know you might win a prize!
Applications will be dealt with on a first come first served basis so please book early to avoid disappointment. Once your application has been received you will receive confirmation of your space. Should you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to contact us.
